Are your gemstones treated in any way?

No. Every stone we sell is untreated — no heat, no diffusion, no fracture filling, no irradiation. It is stated on every certificate.

Why does unheated matter?

Most sapphire and ruby on the world market has been heated to improve colour and clarity. For collectors, an untreated stone of equal appearance is considerably rarer and holds its value differently. In jyotish, a stone altered by heat is widely held to be unsuitable for planetary remediation.

Are these stones suitable for Vedic astrology?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Untreated stones of verified natural origin are what jyotish practice calls for. Dhaneera Gems Ceylon sells Neelam (blue sapphire, Saturn), Pukhraj (yellow sapphire, Jupiter), Manik (ruby, Sun) and Gomed (hessonite garnet, Rahu). We do not sell pearl, coral, emerald, diamond or cat's eye.

What certification comes with each stone?

Accepted Answer

Each stone is independently certified by Nilimini Gem Lab, Kandy — a GIA-affiliated laboratory — or by Zenith Gem Lab, Beruwala. The report states species, weight, dimensions, origin and treatment. These are independent Sri Lankan laboratories and are not the Gemological Institute of America.

Are you a licensed gem dealer?

Yes. Dhaneera Gems Ceylon holds NGJA Gem Dealer Licence 20264DL38110, issued by Sri Lanka's National Gem and Jewellery Authority. Full export documentation accompanies every parcel.

What do your clarity grades mean?

Accepted Answer

Sri Lankan trade terms mapped to the international scale: Loupe Clean corresponds to IF, Top Eye Clean to VVS, and Eye Clean to VS. Where a stone has a visible inclusion, it is stated on the listing.

Question 7

Do you ship worldwide?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from Sri Lanka. FedEx takes three to seven days at a flat USD 75, free on orders over USD 2,000. EMS takes ten to twenty-five business days at lower cost. Both are tracked and travel under full NGJA export documentation.

Do you have a showroom I can visit?

Accepted Answer

No. Dhaneera Gems Ceylon is an online gem exporter based in Kegalle, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka, shipping worldwide. We hold no retail premises anywhere.

Question 9

What does it mean that every stone is sold once?

Accepted Answer

Each stone is a single natural specimen, not a line of stock. When one is sold it is marked Sold and never restocked, because no second stone exists with the same colour, weight and inclusions.

Question 10

Do you sell finished jewellery?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. At present Dhaneera Gems Ceylon sells loose gemstones only. Jewellery is planned in 18K gold and 925 sterling silver, and bespoke commissions are taken by arrangement.
